But data is not easily accessible, and if you’re new to data science or analysis and is looking for where to get data to build a portfolio to showcase your experience, this can be a challenge.

When I started my data science journey, I used Kaggle to get the first dataset I worked with. Kaggle is an online community of data scientists to share and test datasets, plus more. Launched in 2010, Kaggle hosts machine learning competitions with insane cash prices for winners. These competitions have gone ahead to provide solutions for the likes Ford and NASA.
