How To Get More Things Done
In the stories of our lives where we are the protagonist, we are faced with a handful of antagonists and villains of which we consider procrastination among the chiefs
Believe you me, if you must get more things done you must have to deal decisively with procrastination, which has become a major topic of discourse known to both the old and young, perhaps for the simple reason that it is a reality almost every age have to contend with.
We include it among the things to not go back to in our new year resolutions. It makes both grade school, highschool and college students to put off reading for an exam until a later time; and even employees grapple with it when they need to take on conducts capable of boosting their career, but manages to only find excuses why they shouldn't, yet.
Mel Robbins in her book The 5 Second Rule brought to our notice the fact that contrary to our perception of procrastination as a bad trait, it is actually our bodies way of dealing with stress. According to her, "For a long time, everyone believed procrastination meant poor time management skills, a
lack of willpower, or lack of self-discipline. Boy, were we wrong. Procrastination is
not a form of laziness at all. It’s a coping mechanism for stress". Regardless ,the result of procrastination or our interpretation of it affect us negatively, and to that effect it must be…
